The Los Angeles Police Department’s Wilshire Area detectives are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the suspects responsible for an apartment complex burglary that was caught on surveillance video.
On Thursday, January 15, 2015, around 5:00 a.m., two suspects entered the apartment complex in the 600 block of Masselin Avenue in the Wilshire Area. The suspects entered through the front door by using a key left for the US Post Office mail carrier.
The two suspects entered the apartment building’s lobby and went down to the parking area. They are seen returning again to the front door and entering the lobby at which time they took iPads from the lobby area and fled the location. The suspects then sold one of the iPads to an unaware citizen, who discovered it was stolen when he turned it on, and the stolen alert showed on the screen.
The first suspect is described as a male Hispanic, between 25 and 30 years of age with black hair, brown eyes, approximately 5 feet 9 inches tall, weighing 170 pounds. He was seen wearing a black baseball cap with the “Kings” logo, a black hoodie, blue pants, black and white Converse shoes and carrying a black back pack.
The second suspect is described as male Hispanic, between 16 and 20 years of age, brown eyes approximately 5 feet 7 inches tall, weighing 165 pounds. He was seen wearing a gray hooded zip-up sweatshirt, a beanie with the letter “C”, a white shirt, black pants, and black with red shoes.
